History + Industry
Established in 2011 by designer Irene Wood, History+Industry was founded with the desire to translate ancient artifact to powerful contemporary jewelry. Her background in painting informs the rich color and textural architecture of the bold, mixed-material statement pieces. She collects metals, semi-precious stones, wood beads and creates polymer clay beads and hand-builds everything in her Seattle studio.
You can find History+Industry jewels in museums and boutiques around the United States, some of them being The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Brooklyn Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago and The Frye Art Museum.
